Nawal joined Burton Copeland in early 2023 and works in the Magistrates Court and Police Station Departments.
Prior to joining Burton Copeland, Nawal completed her training contract at a prominent Northwest law firm, where she gained invaluable experience in their Criminal and Intellectual Property departments.
Since her legal career starting in 2020, she has developed a strong understanding in many complex issues of criminal law by gaining experience in both high-stakes and cases involving multifaceted issues.
Qualified as both a Solicitor and an Accredited Police Station Advisor in 2022, Nawal further enhanced her expertise by becoming a Certified Duty Solicitor in January 2025. Throughout her career, she has handled a broad range of criminal offences, including serious sexual offences, drug trafficking, and violent crime, offering her clients strategic and tailored legal advice.
Nawal’s meticulous attention to detail, combined with her extensive courtroom experience, has helped her develop a strong advocacy presence. Prior to working at the Police station and Magistrates Court where she has gained significant advocacy experience, she also worked within the Crown Court Department, so has a thorough understanding of jury trials and the Crown Court judicial system.
With a passion for ensuring justice and a client- centric approach, Nawal continues to grow as a dedicated solicitor in the field of criminal law.
