Working as an assistant for over a year alongside Senior Barristers, she developed her communication and analytical skills in considering case files and various forms of evidence. Coupled with her education and studies in the law she has become adept in considering evidence, simplifying the issues and explaining them to others. Whilst this work was invaluable experience for her, it also provided her with a stark realisation that her passion was for fairness and justice and that her desire was a career as a criminal defence lawyer.
Lucy Joined Burton Copeland in September 2024 as a paralegal and is currently undergoing her training to qualify as an Accredited Police Station Advisor. She aspires to qualify as a solicitor as soon as possible and continue her career a criminal defence solicitor with the Burton Copeland Team.
